Easy way to fit a rear beam ?

Is there an easier way to fit a rear beam last week i fitted one by dropping the whole thing by undoing the bolts from the boot, it was a right pain to get the new one back in, just wondering now as im getting my refurb back from imaxles tomorrow is it easier to leave the mounts on and the other metal bit and just drop the beam tube, torsion bars and swing arms by undoing the bolts on the side ?

Lol nevermind will have to ask someone for some help then was a right pain lining up the mounts with the holes with it on 2 trolley jacks

As said, you did it the easy way.

To remove:

Remove brake calipers and handbrake cables and move out the way. Use a trolley jack under the middle of beam. Undo bolts in boot, lower jack. Might need to wiggle the beam a bit as the bolts can catch.

To fit, reverse process.

It can be done with one person, but a lot easier with a friend helping.

I normally use trolly jacks at each side under beam, and a scissor jack under the back of the trailing arm to adjust the angle, or else itl go up front first. have done countless beams this way working by myself, takes about 5 minutes to lift it up / catch the bolts.

If you have a friend nearbye, you can do it much easier with just one jack in center.

Cheers guys will probably be easier this time now that i know what im doing and all the bolts are brake lines are free

i just realised that the axle from Imaxles isnt going to come with the wheel bearing on is there anyway to reuse what i got on the car ive removed the bearing assembly but its left the tapered end on the stub can this be reused or am i looking at brand new bearings as well, any help on this would be great as i think im slowly getting out of my depth :S

maybe worth doing the bearings anyway...

assuming its a disc beam, you need a puller to do the bearing

if your doing i on your own i find leavin the wheels on is easyer then you can just roll it on out

Sorry to hijack but I have camber on one side but the car is lowered, is that going to be an absolute ass changing beam?
