A1 - anyone else got stuck?

My drive from Lanark to York was rudely interrupted this morning by the closure of the A1... Ridiculous amounts of traffic right from after Scotch Corner, luckily I think my exit to York got me off before it got even worse... At snail's pace I passed a jack-knifed FedEx lorry (some one won't be getting "The world on time"), a car up the side of the road, one in the end of the barrier and a couple just abandoned - wtf actually happened???

Did anyone else get stuck in it???
