hdi and gti6 rear beam

Are they the same beam? is it worth putting a gti beam on my hdi or not?

Torsion bars may be different sizes, though I believe late hdis have the same size anyway

Hdi dturbo models share the same beam. Where as the meridian or lx ones don't.

but the torsion bars are the same size between hdi and gti? Just wondering if i go and get a gti beam or refurb my hdi one

Only the hdi dturbo models use the same size bars. All the other hdis are different!

Now this may sound daft but how do I know if mine is a hdi dturbo model..! Its 2001 hdi, but does have dturbo badges on the side on my front wings..

If it 'does' have them like you've just typed, then it is..
If that was a typo, go onto an insurance website or something and put in your reg, most of them return the spec of the car e.g meridian, lx, dturbo etc

Nope it does.. so whats the difference between a hdi dturbo and hdi?? May seem daft sorry :p

Just different trim levels. Basic level lx has cloth seats, sometimes no AC etc, dturbo as Chris said has thicker torsion bars, will have half leather seats, AC yada yada.

My hdi dturbo doesn't have leathers :/

Hdi dturbos dont have leathers, they have cloth 'sports' seats.
