Ok, so I replaced the fuel sender unit and it started. My happiness was short lived when I could still hear a very loud tapping from the engine. Just weighing up my options . I may break it but not many good panels. Does anyone on here fit engines? As my Talent doesn't extend to that, I know it's not rocket science but I just don't have the patience to do so. It's a 306 Hdi estate w reg. if so a price would be great so I could way up my options. Thank you

		^^^ as above
Or it really Isnt terribly hard to do yourself. Heater matrix hoses and drive shafts are the worst bit.

Hdi engine is a piece of piddle to change! Grab an engine crane and a handful of tools and an unexpected passer by and you'll have it done in no time.

Located in Shrewsbury. I ran the engine with hardly any oil reading. I have put a litre and a half in and still so noisy! Sound is worse when you put your head in the driver wheel arch. Just fed up of bloody thing. Car has only done 100000 so pretty low mileage. Just don't want to do it myself or will just put for sale and buy another daily.

It isnt an expensive job, if you really cant cope with doing it yourself.
