That's if people are getting hotels. Won't be tooooooooo bad tbh. But then again you're driving a '6... f*ck its gonna be horrendous.

Did about 30mpg on the trip to reading so shouldn't be too bad

Shall we make a list of who's commited then? And then we can sort a definite date and book the same ferry.

Ok then, what's the cheapest ferry that everyone can find then? I must have been doing something wrong if you can get a return that cheap!

In terms of accommodation. The whole area is littered with guest houses that cater for people on their own or for groups. They're not not stupidly expensive either, cheapest ones are going for the equivalent of £25.83. If we want to save moneys camping would be the other option. Jonny has got a tent, with room for 6 (which I assume we could bring) and I'm sure someone else has a bigger tent as well. Personally, I think camping would make the whole experience better

Yes for camping, let's keep this as cheap as possible.
I'll look at ferries, obv dover-calais will be cheapest and most convinient.

Just looked on the DFDS website, it's looking like if we book now, then any day out of peak time (9 till 5 ish) is £35 each way for one person.
That'll do as far as I'm concerned, when are we going??

People are camping to make it cheaper.Laps aren't too expensive.

£74.20 a tank with Weston-super-Mare prices for super unleaded from Tesco.
so £148 is just travelling, (also depends on how much fuel is in Germany after refill) £21 p/lap roughly.
Try take our own munch, to again, keep costs down.
No doubt a few tanks will also be used on the 'Ring.

So we could keep it cheap. Im gonna start saving anyway.

Edit: Petrol in germany is £1.29/L or 1.60 Euros and for diesel it's £1.24/L or 1.54 Euros. (Yes its cheaper for diesel in Germany) These are rough prices that are i can find most currently updated.

Is there any particular reason why the 15th was decided?
If there aren't any objections, I say we go on the 12th, have the weekend/Monday out there and come back Tuesday.
