Found a set of the 5 spoke 17" alloys from a 206, seller wants 140 for them. from the photo they look good and he says the tires have plenty of tread. problem is iv never been interested in wheels over 15" so i have no idea what they are worth

are they challangers or vortex? i.e, off a 206 gti or 206 gti180?
if they are vortex wheels, definatly buy them, there worth a fair bit if their in good nick and as for £140 with tyres thats still good, normally go from £160-£200

p.s. challengers are one piece, vortex have a centre cap

Id prefer wheels with centre caps, there is only one garage near me that can balance centerless wheels, and the guy that works there is useless

Vortexs don't have centre caps so when you need to change tyres expect it to be a ball ache and a bit more money to find a garage that has the right adapter for the balancing machine.

Just make sure tyres have some good tread left on them so you don't have to mess around paying even more for balancing etc.

Yeah they are vortexs . And you will get away with a 5mm spacer, but it will look shite. Need 15 mm hubcentric spacer

I could swear that vortex wheels had the pop out centre cap? just the very centre piece with the pug lion on, not covering the studs. another way to tell is that challengers are 195/r17 and the vortex off the gti180 are 205/r17

Challengers are off a 307, are 6.5j wide and DO have centre caps, IIRC they're around et28... Vortexes are off 206s, are 7j wide and do NOT have centre caps, these IIRC are around et30...
