So there just better dampers? Cause ive got 40mmapex springs on the dturbo struts atm so would it be just a case off swapin the spring? And would they fit into the dtub hubs or am I going to have stop being tight and go buy a set of bigger ball joints?

they will fit in the hubs fine. The shock clamp on the hub is the same diameter on all 306s so no worries there.
Yeah you could just swap the springs and fit them

Lol...yeah maybe if I had a pd again....but the HDi costs too much to do any more 'long' trips this year.... :/ 13.5 pence a mile atm.
Works out cheaper to have stuff posted lol. Thanks for the offer, need to shift the damn Avensis so I have some monies first though lol.

Hasn't the Hdi dturbo got the same suspension setup as the '6?
Infact I remember reading the dturbo has thicker torsion bars than the GTI so would you actually see any difference between the two?

Tom it'd cost you about £25 in fuel to get to mine and back I know it's more than what it'd cost to post it but if you say it's a tenner for postage (easily that considering size and weight) you're only spending £15 for a day out with some mates. That's easily worth it in my opinion!

And no the DTurbo definitely doesn't have thicker torsion bars (HDi DTurbo or 1.9 DTurbo) as standard. You may be thinking about the estate as some of the later ones did come with 21mm torsion bars

Oh I'm not saying it wouldn't be worth it, I used 40 quid of diesel in 3 days last weekend, and yeah it was totally worth it.....but I couldn't really afford it lol, looked at my bank this week and was like....oh crap, better avoid going out or eating thus week then ....lol.
I know people will say don't spend on a car then....but its a different account. I 'try' to only use fuel or food that I've earnt in that week.....keep the car stuff totally seperate though.

does it? ill have to make the trip at some point then! if im back from uni ill make the trip with tom!

Also what scott said. Some of the estates came with bigger TBs. Presumably because estates are pure win!

if you want to go for a slight more of a upgrade, for £100 you can get a set of bilstein B4 shocks. You wont believe how much nicer it feels just to have new shocks that dont feel tired. would recommend that anyday if you want to spend out!
