Seriousness. Think the suspension setup is different. Don't quote me though as cannot for the life of me remember who said it.

Xs has gti spec suspension. Meridian doesn't. Xs is also only 3 door, no half leather seats but is still epic because you don't look like a old woman driving a meridian.

Mines defo a meridian then i have kiddie doors lol although i do have gti front loering kit wich broke when i hit a pothole on the off side

Meridian is FTW, right amount of doors and better spec....plus more comfort from the old lady suspension.

That said, when my Nan got in the estate she moaned about me lowering it, making it too low to get in and uncomfortable ride! Erm, Nan....meridian estates are like the highest standard 306 ever lol! She preffered the Golf I think....

5 doors doesnt necessarily make it a meridian......it could be an LX if you have horrible cheap velour seats?

XS was meant to look like the range-topping GTi6 without the running / insurance costs.

Theres not an L spec 1.8 btw Chris. You could only have shit engines on an L spec, 1.4, 1.6, NAD and HDi iirc.

And XSi is 2.0, not a 1.8 either.
