Can anyone tell me how much preload a T2 actuator has, in terms of how many turns from it lining up with the wastegate flapper?
I feel i've not put enough preload on it as it's only 1.5 turns in, so the flap is only just held shut. My test drive tonight highlighted that I have a mere 3psi boost
Pretty sure when I had my T2, it took a bit of effort to get even the stock setting back onto the wastegate..

Yeah running an MBC but i've got a feeling there's nowhere near enough preload on the wastegate, so it's getting blown open by exhaust mani pressure...

Aye but that's a bit of a generalisation. Bear in mind i'm using a T2 actuator on a GT2056, a generic video of a guy saying three turns isn't exactly confidence inspiring...

Lolz, that video is bull... 3 Turns is hardly a precise measurement when different spring rates, diapraghm sizes, wastegate port sizing etc etc comes into it..

		^^this
Also the fact i've ported the wastegate too. And yes it still seals properly before someone accuses me of destroying the wastegate

I could have a ganders at my spare stock T2 to give you a rough idea of where stock is?

Yes please Max. Just watched Darren's tuning video on youtube, looks like there's a couple more turns than on mine, but don't know if that's a standard blower.

It looked like a scrap pile of standard blowers. First thing to be ripped off a project car

		Interesting... >>Clicky<<
I know it's not technically the same application, but "half a hole" preload, which is probably a turn more than I put on, is giving them ~8psi on a T2 actuator.

I'd expect much higher exhaust mani pressure than on a mini, so I may be right about the preload. Will get under it tomorrow and tighten things up, see if it makes a difference...
