So you are saying that they reduced the price for a matter of hours and then put it back up again? Unlikely.

Yes you need a members card or go with a friend that has one, pretty easy to get one, the criteria is pretty broad like Makro and other wholesalers etc
BUT they only accept debit or cash though..
Still we shop there all the time, they have some good offers now and then tool wise, last visit I saw snap on led lanterns and low rise, low weight alloy trolley jacks.

It wouldn't surprise me that much I guess. The supermarkets are coming down hard on veg users now. Asda had 3litres for 2 pounds 50 and then a couple weeks later 2.70, then back to 4.15 again after being 2.70 for only a few days. I went in the 99p store awhile ago and it looks like they've stopped doing 1litre bottles for 99p as well now, they just have the 750ml ones in.

It's hard to figure if it's a supply thing or just profiteering.
The number of cars that can actually run veg decreases every year, because lets be honest it's only old bangers that can run it.
Yet the price of veg oil is through the roof compared to 2 years ago (when I started running it).
