Right I have no idea where to stick this query, so if someone wants to move it to the appropriate place please do!
Basically my air con doesn't get very cold - its colder than warm air but not cold. Anyone got any tips on where to start looking to sort it? Anything to do or check prior to spending money having it regassed?

First thing to check is if the compressor is kicking in. With the engine running on idle, turn the a/c on. You should hear a click and the revs climb ever so slightly.
If not, there's not enough pressure in the system and it's disabled. If it does click, you just need a top up.
If it isn't kicking in, don't bother with a top up. It's a waste of money. Spend 40 quid on a pressure and leak check and find out where it's leaking (more than likely front high pressure pipe)
