I will be doing a bosch in the near future and need to get hold of veg.
Who would be up for doing a group buy from a veg oil supplier instead of costco etc?
If so state how much you will need so i can start getting estimates.

Depends what price you can get it to
Trouble is transport. How would we distribute it to the buyers as its very heavy stuff and takes up a fair bit of room
All well and good getting it picked up from somewhere bjt again costs of getting to whoevers place it is stored

hmmm true. We'd need some one with a BFO van!
Or a garage to store it to get ready to pick up or somthing.
thinking about it, it would probably be to much hastle to work this out.

Even then transport costs will probably outweigh the discount
I think to make it worth while youll need to get it to around 80 ppl all in to make it worthwhile which wont be easy at all
See what prices you get but i suspect most places will want 1000litres minimum

I'd be interested but as 1way says, probably work out more expensive in the long run.

		I do roughly 2100 miles/month
Which equates to about 220 litres a month
if the cost was 93p/l it would be about £202 a month of veg.
However not sure how much you guys do and i think im going to be one of the highest users of the stuff.
The whole logistics of it might be an issue though. any ideas?

yeh this sort of idea was looked at before and was difficult finding a storage for such amounts of oil..

Ive got a costco card. for 20l of KTC Veg its £18.49 in a plastic drum and £18.99 in a metal drum and theres no VAT on it.
If you wanted to meet me at the costco in reading im sure we could get a months worth in your car but youd use half a tank getting there and back
