Hi I'm new to the site had a few 306 d turbo's now decided to get hdi as mpg is big factor now.

welcome. you should be able to get 45-50mpg on a hdi all day long regardless of how you drive. It doesnt seem to make a big difference blasting around everywhere. 500-600 on a tank should be good.
