I think i have a leak on my fuel filter housing down the side there is a white cross. What is this for as i also goes along the inside of the bottom of the housing and is it ok to block it up?

ping the metal retaining ring off it mate and it will just pull out with some pliers, renew the O ring and reassemble . . . . .no worries you can suck me off later . .
