Speedo intermittent

Project cheap estate...
Other issue... Speedo regularly, sometimes repeatedly, drops to zero then pops back up Any ideas? New speedo sensor?! Wishes for more power...

can be three things speedo sensor wiring dash. never seen a dash go down. check the big loom plug on the wing for corrosion. if thats ok bang a speedo sensor in it.

It will be the vss had it happen to my old hdi before, also get a loss of power when it does it.

yep VSS definitely, one of the easiest jobs ever

Yep agreed with the above, VSS Starting to show signs of failure. About £30 for a replacement.

He could've bought something alittlemoreexpensive after all the fixes this needed.
 But yeah its the speedo sensor, another common fault. |
