Fitting door speakers?

Im making a right balls up of my front speakers cant get them to fit. Anyone any good at hacking and making a neat job of front speakers? Or anyone know how to fit chunky alpine spg-17cs speakers?

I had to chop most of the plastic out and bash a part of the door metal in to get my edge 16.5cm speakers to fit.

I don't think you'll get 17's to fit without doing something completely custom

I have managed to get the one in now haha. I had to cut and bend soooo much metal behind the speaker. However I will be sound deadening and I will also sand and spray all the painted parts that I have damaged. Should be alright now Haha. And I have got them to fit without needing the adapters and also managed to fit the original covers back over them as well
