		I had this on my phase 1, went scrap yard, got a few relays out of another 306, and it's been fine ever since

		That's what I'm going to do but was just  checking if anyone knew of any wires shorting out causing it to melt or if it was just a common relay problem with them

		Wires shorting are hugely unlikely to cause the relay to melt. Its more likely to the the copper coils in the electro-magnet dicking up and over heating.
