Fitted a GTI6 spoiler to my HDI, a residue has been left behind after I removed the packing tape, whats the best stuff to clear the residue?

Paint thinner, brake and clutch cleaner.. any stuff like that :p

Ive already tried brake cleaner and that didnt work very well

Brake cleaner didnt work? What about a toffee wheel?
