Uprated rubber for my big pipe.

My 3" exhaust is a bit big in the exhaust tunnel and I want to reduce movement to stop it knocking on the rear bumper and heat shield.

Has anyone used the powerflex exhaust rubbers?

Or is there any other options? I was thinking of sandwiching the current mounts between two bits of conveyor belt rubber, which is quite stiff and might help.

Anyone got any other thoughts?

Not 306 ones but the land rover power flex ones are fecking hard rubber. If they are the same they will do the job

Speed shack do good hard PU ones, about £2-£3 each IIRC, reckon you'd get for a tenner posted if you were nice

I have used powerflex exhaust mounts tho, and they're a f*cking pig to get on unless everything lines up perfectly.

There is zero give in them, you can warm them up in a kettle to make it abit more pliable but it's still a massive ballache.

Just got new ones from unipart. Massive difference, they're much stiffer.

Hose clamps are ideal IMO. stop movement and are adjustable so you can get it sitting exactly where you need it

Well hopefully I've sorted it with new mounts, the old ones were a bit perished TBH

i welded a bracket with a plate onto the original hangar points, another plate welded to the exhaust then bolt the two together. keeps the exhaust nice and tight to the tunnel
