MOT tomorrow!!!

So, MOT is due on the 6th July; so I put the Rallye in Early for her inspection.
To say I'm nervous about it is an understatement, it's the first one in my care!!
Saturday Morning at 10:15 :p

So, i choose now of all times to give the car a Pre-MOT inspection before tomorrow and have found:

Engine Oil Leak
Gearbox oil Leak
Power steering fluid leak
Exhaust Leak

Not to mention some newly formed rust underneath the car

Thankfully Ginge is popping over later with some exhaust paste to sort out the tiny gap i have on the mid section pipe.

Then, she might be ready for the MOT

So, it's finally come round... Mot this morning!! Exhaust leak dealt with so let's see how she does!!

My coupe failed

Brakes binding on
Airbag cover on passenger side insecure

Yeah, it passed with 5 Advisories:

1 - Windscreen has damage to an area less than 40mm circle outside Zone A

2 - Power steering component has slight seepage.

3 - Offside brake juddering Slightly

4 - N/S/F (rear bush) Suspension arm has slight play in a Pin/Bush

5 - Front brakes only just met the front brake imbalance requirements. It would appear that the braking system requires adjustment or repair.

number 5 is as a result of number 3. The tester reckons that the disc overheated at one stage when new therefore warping the disc.

Not a bad result

I think I have sorted by brakes. Bled the system and now the car rolls on a slope rather than sitting still!!!

As for the airbag cover that's not so easy, had to take half the dash out, which is easier said than done as its assembled out of the car and all the screws come on from the wrong direction!!!

Now to find a new cover!!

But the main one is the seat subframe does not fit in the damn car!
The others I'll get fixed before is tyres and wheel bearing
Then ... Emissions can't be too bad as I'll fiddle with pump

Mine's due again next month, and no doubt it'll fail on handbrake efficiency like it does every year
