HI all still looking for performance exhausts for my 1.8. Has anyone ever fitted this system?

He states that it's for the 2.0 s16 / Gti but I'm led to believe the system would be the same fitment as the 1.8 16v?

No the 6 uses a different manifold

I did have that fitted to mine with there decat but it caught the gear link heatshield not sure if was a fitting issue or just been supermarket but removed shield it was ok. Get a 6 manifold to go on also

That will go straight into the cat no problems. But they are loud.

Oh ye sorry I just assumed it was a full system. Ye very loud! I had to change the backbox it was deafening

It depends how loud you want it to be and it depends on the make of exhaust. I got a magnex on my S16 with and centre section and back box and that isn't to bad and that's with a de-cat

the 205 systems they do are quite poor as is the fit, You pay for what you get basically, Also no Race 306 that I know of would use one of those either as it's too small and far too loud

i've got a sportex centre section, everything else standard, works well, has quite a nice deep exhaust note but not overly loud, but at the minute i think i've got a collapsed baffle in my backbox so it sounds a bit... crap, but it does rasp after 3.5k...lol

forgot to say actually, on sportex's website you can get a similar system for the 1.8 which has a small centre silencer...
