front wipers staying on

My front wipers since ive brought it when you turn them on for when i need them then i turn them off they stay on no way of turning them off some times they stop after ten mins some times they just stay on im not turning them off wrong had the same car before and never had this problem any ideas anyone? Cars a 306 hdi 1999

No mate cheap enuff i would start with checking the relay first just incase if not id put money on the stalk that or the motor its self
