I know its another egr thread but am i looking at the right thing here? The piece with the two pipes leading into it? If so when i remove it where do these pipes go?! Here is a pic

I know its another egr thread but am i looking at the right thing here? The piece with the two pipes leading into it? If so when i remove it where do these pipes go?! Here is a pic

Yes, you are looking at the EGR. Those two pipes feed coolant into a heat exchanger incorporated into the EGR system, you can bypass it just by joining the two. I used a bit of copper pipe myself, worked fine.

Awsome, did you get yours out with the engine still in place? I cant even reach the bottom bolts let alone get a tool to them

Hahaha, have done before, yeah. It's a proper bastard of a job though, have to come at it from several different angles, think it took me about 4 hours! Oh and you'll want to remove the top engine mount bracket so you can roll the engine forward for better access.
