does anyone know of there is an equivalent size 'Nivomat' shock that would fit the rear end?
It goes, it stops (as reqd).

can't see how they'd work with torsion bar setup as thought they party replaced having springs on de ovlovs

same as any other damper on a self levelling estate tbh, they just pump up to assist the spring.
just happens to be a torsion bar spring rather than a coil spring. as for if there are any, never seen any myself :/
need a part number? http://public.servicebox.peugeot.com/ and http://service.citroen.com/ will sort you out.

under the impression they take on part of the spring rating - hence fitting non nivomat shocks to a volvo results in it being fairly slammed

I recall my bruv's SD1 had them. afaik they compensate for heavier loads as welshpug says, pressurized inside.

They need more length for the same travel so you wouldn't get them to fit without extended mounts.
Custom roll cages/shiny suspension bits/general fabrication work undertaken, PM me.
Top engine mount repair/reinforcement/chocking for cracked chassis and high powered cars, drive in, drive out, 2 hour turnaround. |
