hi guys i have the 1.9 dw8 engine in my car and was wanting to decat it been reading that diesels rely on back pressure would it be a good idea to decat it or what

if you are keen with a grinder and welder, chop your cat out and weld a pipe in. pop the cat down to the scrappy... £££££

However (and I know it has been discussed) some MOT stations will go by 'if it had a cat fitted from factory it should have one for MOT' others will look and as long as the exhaust isn't leaking or rusted through they'll pass the car.
