| Probably best to buy a good used turbo instead of rebuild.
I don't think the seal is serviceable by home mechanic. You can buy new cartridges but I don't think it's worth going that route. |

| They aren't that simple to check.
You could compare two at constant revs say at idle and 3k rpm via the volts out on pin 5 for the flow or the volts on pin 1 for the temperature volts out. |

| I had a similar issue when the speedo died, it was the speed sensor on the gearbox. I take it your speedo is working fine?
Your issue might be the clutch switch. Check it on a diag tool or multimeter... |

On first start up the lifters had drained and the engine didn't sound to great but a oil and filter ... |
