You can get round it on a dw8 by fitting a Bosch ve as well. Then you've sorted your key issue and you can run veg. Win win

They're meant to be free as free to turn by hand. It's very common for them to seize up. You'll struggle to overheat a hdi unless sat in traffic for an age at which point turn the car off. I'd buy two... |

I'll have you know I reolace high pressure fuel lines every time they get loosed and removed ?
I also replace the cat/dpff everyone a turbo blows and in no way whatsoever drive it down the road smok... |

As piggy says really. Swap looms and engine from hdi. It's how I don't mine. Was far easier having a spare hdi about for all the parts.

Pretty much ban on with what youre saying. Glow plug adapter and disconnect the injectors. I don't know what the compression should be off the top of my head though.

Yeah so like others have said. Having done this a while back. The wiring isn't bad to get going but you will need a single plug look and ECU. It makes things a lot easier from what I remember.

Welcome along. What year is the motor? some of the hdi engines had a fuel check valve thing on them that causes a buzzing sound. Some didnt. Not really sure why they ever had them to be honest though.... |

Thy all came out if factory metal. Plastic was cheap nasty aftermarket ones. You may also want to replace the sensor if it's rubbed in it. |
