Hi pugtk, for what I've read lots of times on this forum you're supposed to retard it (pushing it away the motor not towards) to stop the knocking, hope I've helped!

Thank you so much! And I don't want to be tiring, but could you recommend an oil for a mitsubishi lancer 2.0 did from 2009 that's done around 90 thousand kilometres, thanks again!

Thanks! What you you do to it? My plan is to (whenever I have time and money) fit and hdi gearbox plus new clutch and maybe up the turbo a little.
