Yeh, even a dt box instead of Hdi, the longer ratios would make a difference. I reckon, XUDT with Hdi box would be the way to go. Nice and long legged for the longer runs (even though only occasional)...

And it'll make it more economical on longer runs. Currently it's doing 3000 rpm at a little over 60 which really knocks the mpg.

Ah, right. I see what you mean about the mounting. So my flywheel will have the two lugs on for the sensor to read rpm. If I get a clutch kit for a 206 180, that should fit straight onto my flywheel...

Pretty sure my crank sensor is on top of the bell housing, I'll have to check though. I'd like to keep the rev counter etc all working, so will try and use my DW8 flywheel on the XUD.

So what box do you recommend getting? 306/ZX/xsara Does it have to be an XUD box? There are 3x 306's and 2x xsara in my local scrappy, all are HDi's though.
