Yep, that did the trick! Had to get a metal bar and hammer out the shaft at the mid bearing. Once it was out, the gearbox needed a small shuffle and it came loose. Clutch changed and finished. Cheers ...

Hi guys, Right, my 1998 1.4 petrol 306 has broken its clutch and needs a new one. However, whilst trying to get to the damn thing, one major problem occured. We had already taken out the battery...
