That is why I don't want to use silicone. Was thinking hylomar or similar.

I've cleaned the pick up in the tank. Not noticed the primer collapsing. How would I run it from a diesel can? Or what's the best way to do it?

Not checked the pickup filter. Yeah starts first time. I just put new glowplugs in. Not got any fuel leaks that I can see of.

I've just drove the car home and it was horrible to drive, was very juddery and felt bogged down. The engine also cut out a few times. I'm stuck as to what it is. So any help is appreciated. Cheers

What's the best way to take the studs out? I've never removed any from such a position before.

Yeah slotted. The problem I've got is the studs are still in so can't pull it up! Got to try get it off I think.

Almost there! Only problem is working during the day and doing the car in the yard at work! The bottom one that is slotted is terrible! Need to remove it all the way but its so hard to do!

So it will be fine on a trolley jack with both bolts removed from the mount? I am assuming the front one will still be in? It's just the space that is annoying me lol
