RE: Ell Diablo - Poodle - 27-01-2013 Himself i should think, don't make fun of the poor boy, he's obviously delirious. RE: Ell Diablo - Grant - 27-01-2013 So.... What a weekend. Working on the car non stop saturday and sunday. Good though as got all stuff done for the MOT and some. Got the refurbished and lowered rear beam on. Was a right ballache as the piece of shit, bollox designed fucktard of a PH2 rear beam had the load compensator on. So had to swap all the brake lines over onto the new beam with the compensator. Chewed up a fair bit of time, but done now Got the '6 Brakes fitted, just need a tad more bedding in now, and fixed the blow in the worst Next on the list is the decat exhaust, fit my plasma dials, finish stripping the front (remove front carpets, cut dash down etc), fit aero catches and then see what money is left next month Excuse this crappy last pic, was late and raining Sits a lot better now me thinks RE: Ell Diablo - sam - 27-01-2013 Nicely done dude keeping the xsi lump.or going back to a 1.8? RE: Ell Diablo - Grant - 27-01-2013 Nah probably going 1.8 again. XSI lump is so damn heavy it ruins the balance of the car. Horrendous understeer RE: Ell Diablo - sam - 27-01-2013 Nice, good reason to be honest still going the turbo route? RE: Ell Diablo - Tallguy_2 - 27-01-2013 Looking good chap, aiming to get it on track? RE: Ell Diablo - pugolliek - 13-02-2013 Bit late to the party on the subject but the girlfriend is now even more convinced about the sexual connotations of owning a Diablo after reading this thread!!! RE: Ell Diablo - Grant - 03-04-2013 Time I probably updated this really. Its fully stripped at the rear now, only a spare wheel, dash and seats remain. And..... Since my last update where it wasnt too much different to this: RE: Ell Diablo - Ed Doe - 03-04-2013 No way! BMW frozen grey?!?! You fugging hero! RE: Ell Diablo - Niall - 03-04-2013 What? You've wrapped a wing? Cool story bro! RE: Ell Diablo - cwspellowe - 03-04-2013 Wrapped? Pussy. I want to see rattle cans. RE: Ell Diablo - Grant - 03-04-2013 Yeah, only did a wing, gonna do the roof and doors next Ordered some of these, MK3 golf wheel arch trims: Some smoked side repeaters too, and gonna paint the bump strips black to match the wheel arches... RE: Ell Diablo - Niall - 03-04-2013 Really need to get some sill trims on there as well. You dont realise how much of a difference it makes until you see one without them! RE: Ell Diablo - Grant - 03-04-2013 They're down the garden waiting to get wrapped Looks wank without... RE: Ell Diablo - samass - 03-04-2013 Sweeeeeet! Also needs a phase 3 bumper *cough* *cough* RE: Ell Diablo - Grant - 03-04-2013 Is that in your back garden still? Factory added extras that are also on phase 3 or extras added on by the owner RE: Ell Diablo - Niall - 04-04-2013 Late ph2s were called ph2.5s because of some of the things they came out the facotry with. E.g boot has a sealess window and doesnt have that strip along the bottom. There is some other stuff but i cant remember what Ell Diablo - Aaron _d95 - 04-04-2013 (04-04-2013, 09:01 PM)Niall Wrote: Late ph2s were called ph2.5s because of some of the things they came out the facotry with. Is that why the dturbo S came with phase 2 front bumpers and phase 3 front bumpers. One more question do you know if the d turbo s was only made in 98 on a s plate because all the ones I've seen and gone to view are a s plate or is this a coincidence RE: Ell Diablo - 4WayDiablo - 05-04-2013 (04-04-2013, 09:05 PM)Aaron _d95 Wrote:(04-04-2013, 09:01 PM)Niall Wrote: Late ph2s were called ph2.5s because of some of the things they came out the facotry with. Are you doing the wrapping yourself? The trims look quite good IMO, mocked them up today, they need a little trimming but will fit pretty well in the end I think. This is what they look like fitted: (05-04-2013, 04:04 PM)4WayDiablo Wrote: Also back on topic that grey is really nice grant! You didn't spray that did you? Cheers Phil its wrapped in vinyl. BMW frozen grey. I think the grey will go nicely with that black bucket seat you want to sell me haha More progress today: Wrapping the doors. Split it under the bump strip to make life easer How its looking at the end of today Got some ph3 sills to go on. Fitted the black side repeater that looks a gazillion times better than the orange ph2 crud. Hopefully going to do the passenger door and wing tomorrow, and roof if all goes well RE: Ell Diablo - 306GT30 - 05-04-2013 please loose the gay fake carbon bonnet.... RE: Ell Diablo - Grant - 05-04-2013 Its keeping me engine dry at the moment... We dont all have deep enough pockets for real carbon panels It will probably go grey with the rest of the car in the long run anyhow RE: Ell Diablo - vlj - 05-04-2013 Looks like a really decent job you've managed there mate! Can't wait to see it finished up |
