TU3JP cylinder block, ET3 head? - SketchYDG - 26-06-2015

I've been looking around and from what I can tell pug never made a 16v version of the tu3 engine, however they did make a 16v 1.4 for the 206. From what I can tell the et3 (206 engine) uses the same ally cylinder block as the tu3 just with a 16v head on top. Does anyone know if this is the case, and if so would an et3 head fit on a tu3 block?

no it wouldn't fit, i looked into it a while ago, and the 8v block is missing a couple of pulley / idler mounting points, and the oilways are different, so you'd have to run the block too

    TU3 block

ET3 block - right hand oil drain is huge in comparison

I get the oil drains are different but the idler/ pullie arrangement shouldn't be too much of an issue as long as the cam belt provides even pressure no?

Also couldn't the oil drains be modified to fit?

best bet is an iron block with a J4 or JP4 head.
