Gem's 1.9 D Turbo - xgem - 04-09-2014 Swapped my golf for this and so far really liking it, it's not a bmw I know but it's good on fuel. It's a 1.9 D Turbo. ![]() What I've done - Added dirt ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Treated it to smoked indicators so swapped them over [emoji14] ![]() ![]() ![]() Waiting to get the front springs on & it's getting lowered on Friday. RE: Gem's D Turbo - WiNgNuTz - 04-09-2014 Ford fitment wheels will fit, but you'll need spigot rings to do so. Cant remember the exact dimensions off the top of my head, but im sure someone will be along shortly to put me straight! ![]() As for smoked rear lights...they dont look smoked to me, unless you mean the bottom section, which is "smoked" as standard. ![]() Looks like a good base to start from though, keep us up to date! ![]() RE: Gem's D Turbo - Piggy - 04-09-2014 Goodbase. Those rear lights arent smoked though...well not as far as I can see. Ford wheels do fit...need 20mm (iirc) Spacers and a centre bore adapter...or all in one adapter. RE: Gem's D Turbo - xgem - 04-09-2014 I didn't realise they came as standard now, years back my mate had to buy them for his lol RE: Gem's D Turbo - Piggy - 04-09-2014 They always came like that on ph2/3s ![]() RE: Gem's D Turbo - xgem - 04-09-2014 Ahh good to know cheers ![]() Gem's D Turbo - Jtrigga - 04-09-2014 The standard peugeot centre bore on wheels is 65.1. RE: Gem's D Turbo - Lolben91 - 04-09-2014 You can get chromed side indicator bulbs which will stop the side repeaters looking like eggs RE: Gem's D Turbo - Dum-Dum - 05-09-2014 A very nice base for you. What are the plans? RE: Gem's D Turbo - xgem - 05-09-2014 Respray, wheels and lows. Not a a fan of 'chrome' lol, but then 306's are a whole new world as mostly had german cars. RE: Gem's D Turbo - simonh - 05-09-2014 You'll be amazed at how much cheaper everything is but surprised at how often you have to keep doing the same jobs. That's how I find it between my mk3 Golf and my 306 anyway. RE: Gem's D Turbo - pioneer DJ paddy - 05-09-2014 Same coulor as mine nice lol love theses wee cars great running car too :-) RE: Gem's D Turbo - xgem - 05-09-2014 Yeah I've already noticed the price difference as the last 4 years has mostly been bmws lol, the lack of wheels bugs me though as can't find anything dishy ![]() RE: Gem's D Turbo - xgem - 16-09-2014 Few sceney pics ![]() ![]() ![]() Phase 3 lights turned up today, fitted my players sticker and it's booked into Constella for lows on Friday, got 60mm springs for the front ![]() ![]() ![]() And that's it so far.. RE: Gem's D Turbo - WiNgNuTz - 16-09-2014 So yeah, as i said in the other thread before closing it, whats the thing down the windscreen? Is it meant to read something, or is it just a pattern? ![]() RE: Gem's 1.9 D Turbo - xgem - 16-09-2014 It says Players if you read it from the bottom upwards ![]() RE: Gem's 1.9 D Turbo - WiNgNuTz - 16-09-2014 Ah yes, so it does! I quite like that tbh, nice that you managed to get it almost the same colour as the paint! ![]() RE: Gem's 1.9 D Turbo - 1616six - 16-09-2014 Are you a player? Going for a respray...big financial commitment that, what colour you thinking? RE: Gem's 1.9 D Turbo - xgem - 16-09-2014 I had the same one on my old car and saled through mot. Not sure atm, got a ideas.. Will be using graffiti paint ![]() Re: Gem's 1.9 D Turbo - xgem - 19-09-2014 Getting some lows ![]() RE: Gem's 1.9 D Turbo - Eeyore - 19-09-2014 yesss! How low are you going? D: Hope they are doing it the right way! RE: Gem's 1.9 D Turbo - Poodle - 19-09-2014 Lolben is referring to chromed bulbs, they match the "smoked"colour of the side repeaters so they don't stand out so badly as when you put normal orange bulbs in.
