RE: Ell Diablo - Grant - 12-08-2013 No sharp edges there mate ![]() ![]() RE: Ell Diablo - Grant - 13-08-2013 So got handy with the welder today. Welded some studs onto the exhaust tunnel to mount this: ![]() Notice how I have no pictures of the welds, as they are messy as shit. Hammered them around a bit and they stayed put so I'm happy they'll hold... And onto the above mounts this: ![]() ![]() Thinking of putting the ignition barrel in the switch panel, but with my track record I am unsure as to if I want to be fettling with ignition wiring haha! RE: Ell Diablo - Dum-Dum - 14-08-2013 How does it release or are you plumbing it in? RE: Ell Diablo - Grant - 14-08-2013 It will be plumbed in. I'm going to fit a cable release eventually. Short term it will go to a head in the engine bay released via the pressure handle ![]() RE: Ell Diablo - Ed Doe - 14-08-2013 Are you planning on tracking it anytime soon, or just putting more bits in it?! ![]() RE: Ell Diablo - Niall - 14-08-2013 (14-08-2013, 06:58 AM)Ed Doe Wrote: Are you planning on tracking it anytime soon, or just putting more bits in it?! RE: Ell Diablo - Grant - 19-08-2013 So had a rather productive day yesterday. Scott lent a hand so got a fair bit done. Started the day with a sausage and bacon sandwich, standard! Managed to continue with the switch panel. Because race car. Also wired in and labelled the switches for the engine fans. ![]() And removed the standard battery and wired in the rear, smaller, becauseracecar battery. ![]() Also changed the oil and oil filter. Got new plugs and fuel filter. Still need to chop the turrets about to allow me to adjust the adjustable top mounts for camber. Need to under seal the arches and fix the bloody gearbox oil leak. Cambelt may be a good idea too! haha RE: Ell Diablo - Midnightclub - 19-08-2013 Loving the becauseRACECAR look RE: Ell Diablo - Grant - 19-08-2013 Shame it has a wanky XSI engine in it though ![]() RE: Ell Diablo - Ed Doe - 19-08-2013 http://306oc.co.uk/forum/thread-13494.html ![]() RE: Ell Diablo - Grant - 19-08-2013 A tappy gti engine that's been sat for god knows how long without being turned over.
