hmmmm Bollocks!
have been to have the car all tracked up have all the measurements fronts been adjusted,
rear left is spot on!
rear right looks as if it may have a bent stub axel
so looks like im going to get heavy with a large hammer and knock the shaft out
once i find a replacement

looks that way
but remember the axles and arms are my originals the beam was rebuilt with new inner Axel pins and bearings not the outer wheel axles
it was probably bent when i bought the car as that side is the side the beam colapsed

probably not noticable untill the tracking gauges were used

so the puddle sucker has gone
im now back to a std airbox and snorkel
with a nice bit of blue silicon and an ash filter for the ICV

have been out and fitted new exhust rubbers as the old ones were shot,
have stopped the rattle from the rear heat sheild, snapped bolts! so ground the studs off and drilled and fitted a threaded insert to the underfloor so now i have a firm screw point and no rattle once bolted up
and ive had another look at what i thought was a bent stub axel
well i dont think it is now as the Camber on the printout is correct
its only the Toe thats out
when i look at the readings on the printout i realised the N/s is toe in and the O/s is toe out
so out with the tape measure and the beam is not square!
probably after ive done the beam mounts D O H!!!!!!
O/S is about 5mm further back than the N/s
so tomorrow mornings job is to square up the beam

Is there an easy way to square up the beam? Because i'm not sure mine is exactly straight, at least the gauges reckon it isnt lol.

well to check ive measured from a fixed point on the body to a fixed point on the wheel/hub
to realine i will loosen the underside lower rear mount, and the and the top of this mount as it was slotted, and slacken the two top front mounts both sides,
then hope to be able to bump move the beam with the wheels in the air, to its square position
we will see the outcome tomorrow

Thing is though if you don't get these exactly right its going to throw the track of the car out, and this would have quite a serious effect on the handling and not in a good way lol, so £130 isn't that bad lol, did you make a jig from your new set before you fitted them?

i will make a jig for the front pair as they are a little harder to get right

Got lots of pre cut plates as supplied to Mr Cully if people are interested in making their own.
Word of warning however, these are safety critical components and this job should only be attempted by a competent welder/fabricator with suitable equipment. Safety blurb out of the way, carry on enjoying the project.

ask him nicely and im sure he will do the same
or even supply the completed mounts
ive got to make a nice job on the welding so it looks easy to do
