RE: Jamies Track built GTi 6 - Niall - 23-03-2013 Jamie what brakes are on the front of this? Only realised you had 4 pots on when you pulled up next to me at kew bridge (and then failed to pull away ![]() RE: Jamies Track built GTi 6 - Tallguy_2 - 23-03-2013 330mm bells and rotors lol, calipers are so light that the whole setups lighter than the original, think theres some pics a couple of pages back on this thread. Well I thought I'd let you show me the way! So much so I missed the turning to take me down the M3! Kept up on the bridge though no troubles! Lol I was having a little play with the brakes at the first big roundabout at ace when I first pulled up by you and nearly got knocked out by them wheels that shouldn't have still been in the back! Lol 1) Not a 100% fan of carbon vinyl 2) I lack a lot of patience and would therefore have no crystals what so ever! Sam: Wheels, hmmmmm everyone else has black 1.2s, and keeping to the trait of having things in colours people don't like! (Blaze aka piss!) I'll keep one silver set and one white set lol! RE: Jamies Track built GTi 6 - ozonehostile - 23-03-2013 i like the white 1.2's not enough people have them RE: Jamies Track built GTi 6 - Tallguy_2 - 23-03-2013 Good lad! RE: Jamies Track built GTi 6 - sam - 24-03-2013 So when are you getting a cage? RE: Jamies Track built GTi 6 - Tallguy_2 - 24-03-2013 Keeping an eye out when something suitable pops up, no rush really back into the main racing season now RE: Jamies Track built GTi 6 - sam - 24-03-2013 Can pick up a new omp one for about 450 I think thats what I bought for my dt then sold it again haha RE: Jamies Track built GTi 6 - Niall - 24-03-2013 (23-03-2013, 11:47 PM)Tallguy_2 Wrote: 330mm bells and rotors lol, calipers are so light that the whole setups lighter than the original, think theres some pics a couple of pages back on this thread. Lol I actually think yours looks really good on them wheels! I do think them brakes look shit though so you should give them to me ![]() RE: Jamies Track built GTi 6 - Tallguy_2 - 24-03-2013 You'd have to buy the wheels too then Niall! Lol. How's them new shocks? Yeah the omp ones don't look a bad price tbf, need to stop spending and use it first though! And sell these sets of 888's RE: Jamies Track built GTi 6 - sam - 24-03-2013 Keep a set for some track wheels dude, there well built just widh I had spare time.to.put it in but it wqs dead money sat there so I sold it RE: Jamies Track built GTi 6 - Tallguy_2 - 24-03-2013 I would keep a set for track but 15's won't fit past the 3330's Yeah safety devices look very well built too, where did you get it from? RE: Jamies Track built GTi 6 - sam - 25-03-2013 I got mine through demon tweeks ![]() RE: Jamies Track built GTi 6 (all about the details this week!) - Tallguy_2 - 25-03-2013 Well masking complete! Oil-burner your a top bloke! Was going to go normal satin black but then got a bit carried away! Black, metal flake and then lacquered with a cheeky little extra quirk that i havnt to my knowledge seen done! Unfortunately photos don't really do justice and I think carbon vinyl would have looked like the Hiroshima bomb had just exploded! Opinions please!? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() RE: Jamies Track built GTi 6 (all about the details this week!) - Pompey306mark - 25-03-2013 Looks good. How's them new drop links? RE: Jamies Track built GTi 6 (all about the details this week!) - Niall - 25-03-2013 (25-03-2013, 11:11 PM)Tallguy_2 Wrote: Murder bambi, haha. Shit in your hands and clap! How's them new drop links? Not set up at all. It was snowing big time so i just bolted them on. 1 is a inch longer than the other just because i wanted to get them in the car and get back in the warm lol. 4 day weekend coming up though so will set them up, get the Turinis on and see how well it grips with the new shocks, links and see how well goodyear eagle F1s stick to the road! RE: Jamies Track built GTi 6 (all about the details this week!) - Tallguy_2 - 01-04-2013 Had a free afternoon today and hoping we have now passed the wank weather I thought I'd pay a little more attention to detail and give it a full valet, (fully T-cutted back and then waxed) not quite finished under the bonnet but that can now be done in an evening now It's light! Hopefully in for small bits of paint next week! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Not sure about a front row submission for FCS yet RE: Jamies Track built GTi 6 (all about the details this week!) - Niall - 01-04-2013 Dude just put it in for front row. Love it man! We need to meet up one evening in the next few weeks and go for a drive and some photos; you're only down the road from me; be rude not to!! ![]() Btw, HOW do you deal with your car daily with no interior etc? Is it not hideously loud? I couldn't deal with mine, took the rear seats out and rear carpets etc for the weekend, it was literally ZOMGAMAZING when on full-chat, but just getting about it was way too loud and the road noise was awful! I'd have to wear ear-plugs to and from work! RE: Jamies Track built GTi 6 (all about the details this week!) - Matt - 02-04-2013 Ed mtfu I ran the Rallye for months with a stripped rear! It's not that bad and you get used to having to shout any conversation you have ![]() RE: Jamies Track built GTi 6 (all about the details this week!) - jammapic - 02-04-2013 Hi mate, looks stunning... whens your next track day?
