I have been thinking about something like that, upswept or horizontal along the bumper?

Right fmic is on, ended up being a bit of a ninja set up, with it being hidden by the bumper. Wasn't what I originally planned but I think with blanks and masks to come, and the smooth bonnet the front mount being hidden will actually be better. Massive thanks to Josh and Chris for fitting it! Only got a couple of photos as it was bloody freezing, and when the bumper is on it can't be seen. Drove home without any issues but didnt get chance to really test it due to the snow!

Looks real tidy... you'll be glad its hidden behind the bumper... their a pig to clean! Looks like there's much more room using 2.25 piping and ic

RE: Dave's Euro-ish moonstone HDI. - ginge191 - 23-03-2013

what size slimline fans are you using?

They're 10" mate.

Looks like I might have to look at turbos, blue smoke on start up, very whistly at most speeds Sad

RE: Dave's Euro-ish moonstone HDI. - 306GT30 - 24-03-2013

looks nice mate... now make us pics with the frontbumper on...

RE: Dave's Euro-ish moonstone HDI. - EddB - 24-03-2013

Love the euro look mate

RE: Dave's Euro-ish moonstone HDI. - Dave26 - 28-03-2013

Right firstly, here are a couple of photos with the bumper on, excuse how dirty it is!

After having the fmic fitted the other day it became clear my front tyres were in need of replacement:

[Image: 3CA0D568-6504-4290-A1F0-DFEDEDBD6B89-644...7afece.jpg]

So my normal steels are back on for now. Got me wondering what's caused the rubbing on the fronts though, thinking I may be better with 185s rather than 195s, or would the stretch be too much?

Got stance?

im fitting 185's to my 8j tomorrow il let you know how it goes. PE02KHG also has 185s on his rears

RE: Dave's Euro-ish moonstone HDI. - ozonehostile - 28-03-2013

have you checked all your bushes? i had tyres like that on the 405 due to a collapsed wheel bearing and a knackered p bush

RE: Dave's Euro-ish moonstone HDI. - Bennis - 07-04-2013

Loving the 8" wide wheels mate. Do you know what offset they are? Really interested to know as I am considering getting some 8j ET0 wheels for my 306 and your car fitment could help me picture how they will sit.

Cheers

RE: Dave's Euro-ish moonstone HDI. - Slam Wagon - 07-04-2013

RE: Dave's Euro-ish moonstone HDI. - Dave26 - 21-04-2013

Went to see Danny2009 yesterday.

[Image: 50E4B810-DE1A-40BA-ADFA-43F957F3AD9B-134...a0591b.jpg]

Had my Sachs berlingo clutch fitted and the exhaust sorted out so it no longer rattles and sits straighter. I can now sit at traffic lights without people looking at me and wondering what the hell that rattling noise is. Danny did a cracking job, a really nice guy too! Will be going back to see him as soon as I get a new turbo, mine is whining even on really low revs and blue smoke on start up, it's not happy!

The best heater ever:

The plans (with the deadline being fcs) are then:
New gear linkages (recommendations?),
Stage 2 map and possibly dyno,
New front tyres on banded steels,
Tracking needs doing,
Refurb banded steels in purple,
Vinyl roof to match the wheels,
Have smooth bonnet and grill painted,
Rallye blanks,
Finish my black mask headlights,
Smooth rear if funds allow,
Eventually smooth bumper with upswept euro style exhaust but that won't be this year I don't think.

Unsure as yet, thinking quite a dark purple, very indecisive though!

That wear on the outer edge will be at least partly down to the stretch. Also, how do you take your corners? I ra*e the outside edge on my tyres thanks to some enthusiastic driving. Wink

I take all corners slowly and carefully whilst taking into consideration the road conditions... Can't you tell from the tyres? Wink
