RE: Ell Diablo - Hydraulic Clutch In - Grant - 30-03-2014 You have PM mate ![]() RE: Ell Diablo - Hydraulic Clutch In - Grant - 07-04-2014 So nothing terribly exciting happened to the car this week, or last week. Or the week before, to that fact. New engine hopefully in at the weekend. But in the meantime, this happened; ![]() For anyone who saw my garage before, it was a mess of crap piled up with a filing cabinet in the middle. Too hard to work properly in. Much better now ![]() Need to line the top with steel still, but it will do for now ![]() RE: Ell Diablo - Hydraulic Clutch In - Midnightclub - 07-04-2014 Loving the 'tools' lined up next to the drill ![]() RE: Ell Diablo - Hydraulic Clutch In - Piggy - 07-04-2014 Needs more hammers and chiller for the beer... Also needs a 306oc© calendar!! RE: Ell Diablo - Hydraulic Clutch In - Grant - 08-04-2014 Vital motivational tooling next to the drill! Haha There's actually a freezer on the left, so Ill just bung some beer in there for 15 mins when needed ![]() Re: Ell Diablo - Hydraulic Clutch In - kentiiboii - 08-04-2014 Nessasery tools for working on a 306! RE: Ell Diablo - Hydraulic Clutch In - 306Dan - 08-04-2014 Where's the selection of hammers??? Ell Diablo - Hydraulic Clutch In - Jonny b - 08-04-2014 f*ck the hammers!! Lol RE: Ell Diablo - Hydraulic Clutch In - Grant - 10-04-2014 So spent this evening preparing for the engine change that is looming this weekend ![]() Cleaned and painted the seam welded subframe : Before: ![]() And after. Also chucked a coat on the bonnet badge as it needed freshening up: ![]() Gave the GTi inlet another lick of paint: ![]() And gave the K&N cotton cone a soak in detergent: Niiiiiiiiiiice ![]() ![]() Hoping my heat wrap will turn up for tomorrow, so I can get the spare manifold wrapped ready to go on. Will nip to pug and get some gearbox oil, then am good to go ![]() Ell Diablo - Hydraulic Clutch In - devils_fuel - 10-04-2014 I can't be bothered to look back ![]() Are you going for all the win grant, ![]() RE: Ell Diablo - Hydraulic Clutch In - Grant - 10-04-2014 Just chucking nialls old GTi engine in for now. It's sitting there doing nowt. I'm getting naughty thoughts about Subaru flat 4 cyl turbo lumps though. Just know jack all about those engines... Ell Diablo - Hydraulic Clutch In - devils_fuel - 10-04-2014 Sounds like fun times ahead ![]() A Subaru would be all the win, would you be going AWD ? RE: Ell Diablo - Hydraulic Clutch In - Grant - 10-04-2014 Probably just RWD. Tbf it's a new idea. Need to weigh up the possibilities. Wouldn't be too bad to AWD if the RWD is going in I suppose. Worth a laugh! Ell Diablo - Hydraulic Clutch In - devils_fuel - 10-04-2014 Mate a flat 4 AWD 306 would be awesome and so much fun, you never get bored of it ![]() RE: Ell Diablo - Hydraulic Clutch In - 306Dan - 10-04-2014 awd would be awesome but i dont know whether you could get the engine far enough fowards tho RE: Ell Diablo - Hydraulic Clutch In - Dum-Dum - 10-04-2014 The wheelbase of a scooby is pretty close to that of a 306 RE: Ell Diablo - Hydraulic Clutch In - 306Dan - 10-04-2014 hmm who's got a scooby i can cut up?? RE: Ell Diablo - Hydraulic Clutch In - Grant - 11-04-2014 (10-04-2014, 09:22 PM)Dum-Dum Wrote: The wheelbase of a scooby is pretty close to that of a 306 Yeah, you're right. Believe it or not I got the idea watching ChopShop, where they cram a Scooby engine into a MK2 gold for Jonny Vegas. The chassis legs on the scooby are a lot closer together than on a 306, so if anything, there will be loads of room width ways, as for length-ways, if I have to hack about the exhaust tunnel to get a transmission in, which i can't see being to bad, who cares?! lol RE: Ell Diablo - Hydraulic Clutch In - Midnightclub - 11-04-2014 Do eeet! RE: Ell Diablo - Hydraulic Clutch In - Grant - 11-04-2014 I missed the second episode last night on TV, and haven't seen the finished article. I'll make sure to have a look lol Ell Diablo - Hydraulic Clutch In - devils_fuel - 11-04-2014 No you don't grant, it's shite ![]() Hate to say it but they ruined the golf.. Re: Ell Diablo - Hydraulic Clutch In - kentiiboii - 11-04-2014 The rear and roof looks ok, front end is terrible. But I agree ruined the golf. RE: Ell Diablo - Hydraulic Clutch In - Nath140889 - 11-04-2014 A series 1 impreza floor pan and wheel base is only ten mill out both ways, could be an interesting shell transplant , wiring and dash would be fun though RE: Ell Diablo - Hydraulic Clutch In - Matt - 11-04-2014 Need a hand with the engine atall man? I've got tomorrow off ![]() RE: Ell Diablo - Hydraulic Clutch In - Niall - 11-04-2014 Matt we are doing the engine at mine. Your welcome to come up but parking is difficult at the moment so will have to park a fair way away! |
