RE: P3 HDI - Project 'De-chav' - Frosty - 08-11-2012

you got the car looking really smart now mate. massive difference from when you got it! how much you mange to pick the challengers up for if you dont mind me asking? you got some spacers for them?

RE: P3 HDI - Project 'De-chav' - dave1221 - 09-11-2012

they were very cheap once i'd sold one of the brand new Continental tyres off it for £45 Wink

got some 15mm hubcentric spacers and extended bolts for the rear, probably getting the same for the front once the new tyres are bought and fitted and I've got the funds to do so!

RE: P3 HDI - Project 'De-chav' - Frosty - 09-11-2012

thats not to bad then. i manged to pic up a set of challengers for £180 all with good tyres (the right size for a 306) and 15mm spacers and bolts for the rear which i fort was a good price. though i did have to do a 100 mile round time for them

RE: P3 HDI - Project 'De-chav' - dave1221 - 28-11-2012

just a quick update: getting closer with the alloys refurb. I recently split up with the mrs, so things have been taking longer than i'd like!

the only pic i have at the moment:

RE: P3 HDI - Project 'De-chav' - dave1221 - 01-07-2013

thought Id pop a brief post in here considering its been over six months since my last post!

recently had to replace the exhaust backbox due to rust.....

other than that, here is a pic after giving her a good valet recently:

RE: P3 HDI - Project 'De-chav' - rd070707 - 01-07-2013

looks lovely mate, exactly what I am after at the minute, a nice ph3 Hdi

RE: P3 HDI - Project 'De-chav' - Luhoer - 01-07-2013

looks really nice. What happened to the Challengers?

RE: P3 HDI - Project 'De-chav' - MRiches - 01-07-2013

Just gone through from the start... DAT SCOOP Tongue

Looks tidy, paintwork looks immaculate! I like the colour matched spoiler as well, looks good on it although your recent picture shows the standard ph3 one? What did you do with the old one?

RE: P3 HDI - Project 'De-chav' - ethanhp1991 - 01-07-2013

What a transformation, done really well on that bud, looks so much better

RE: P3 HDI - Project 'De-chav' - Slam Wagon - 02-07-2013

Looking alot smarter, where was the china paint from? Looks a really good match.

RE: P3 HDI - Project 'De-chav' - Grant - 02-07-2013

That looks lush! I love china so much, and that is looking like a cracking example!

RE: P3 HDI - Project 'De-chav' - dave1221 - 03-07-2013

thanks for all the comments guys Smile

I removed the 3 post spoiler that came with the car and reverted to the standard P3 spoiler, i personally prefer it this way. I have a 350z as a weekend car, so decided to sell the Challengers and stick to the cyclones and keep the 306 as a sensible daily driver.

Ive recently remapped the car with a custom map from Steve, the car is much more responsive and a pleasure to drive!

Unfortunately that spoiler didn't make it through the removal process completely intact, shame really because the paint match was perfect!

RE: P3 HDI - Project 'De-chav' - rd070707 - 03-07-2013

If you want to sell it anytime give me a shout lol

RE: P3 HDI - Project 'De-chav' - dave1221 - 03-07-2013

lol, will do! I was contemplating selling and moving to maybe an MG ZR td, but finding a low mileage one that hasn't been eaten by rust (good old Peugeot!) is proving difficult!

RE: P3 HDI - Project 'De-chav' - Dum-Dum - 03-07-2013

Great project mate and a lovely looking car now but those morettes and that spolier were probably original judging by the SP badges and the fact they are SP parts

RE: P3 HDI - Project 'De-chav' - dave1221 - 03-07-2013

cheers for the info! I sold the morettes for decent money last year, but i got sick of seeing the spoiler sat on the back seats for weeks when i didnt have time to list on the forum/ebay. it broke at the mounting points as the screws to loosen it from the mounts on the rear window had rusted up and rounded.

RE: P3 HDI - Project 'De-chav' - dave1221 - 12-08-2013

she could do with a little tidying, Id like to get the alloys refurbed, and I have bought a machine polisher to practice on some of the swirls etc!

I'm on southside near the Spa ThumbsUp

RE: P3 HDI - Project 'De-chav' - C2K - 12-08-2013

She's looking very nice mate. It's a twin of my HDi Inlove

Kind of reminds me of my old girl a few years ago. Had her almost 8.5 years now!

P3 HDI - Project 'De-chav' - dave1221 - 23-09-2015

I wanted a red one to get the paintwork shining like the gt4 when it's claybarred, polished, and waxed:

I sold it around 2 years ago now when I bought a Leon Cupra Tdi as a run around. The lad who bought it came in the dark on night and didn't even test drive it [emoji1]

Everyone always comes back to them. Welcome back. I'm new since you've been gone.

Yeah I love Gt4s, that's why I have 2 [emoji1]

I was looking at other options for a daily but nothing in the right spec came up so plumped for the trusty 306 again.
