It does, I just removed it to access the ICV easier

Got a newly built axle here with 21mm bars it's clearly got your name all over it Wink

Got a bit bored today so started to underseal the arches today Smile it has rear arch liners but wanted to preserve it the best I can. Luckily it has no arch rust what so ever!

RE: Ph1 White GTi6 - Matt-Rallye - 26-09-2015

Nice bit of preservation happening there Smile keep it up!

RE: Ph1 White GTi6 - RetroPug - 26-09-2015

I need to do my arches as well.
It's on the winter list I think!

RE: Ph1 White GTi6 - 7057sam - 26-09-2015

Nice one mate

Them ta/racelands coilovers make me shudder just thinking about them lol

Haha they are actually less harsh than my Avo coilovers on my DT what's bad about them?

Thanks mate Smile hope it stops anything getting to bad

RE: Ph1 White GTi6 - Poodle - 27-09-2015

Might want to adjust your avos then lol, mine have always been super smooth compared to the TAs. TAs are just for people who want to be able to drop a car on it's arse for cheaps, ride quality, handling and build quality seem to just be well below par. But then they are really cheap. lol If you like them, keep them.

RE: Ph1 White GTi6 - Piggy - 27-09-2015

I rekon standars gti/vts dampers and springs would handle better than TA/raceland tbh!

RE: Ph1 White GTi6 - welshpug - 27-09-2015

avo arent the best either tbh! made tgeir rep on good service, because they break and leak all the time!

Standard will handle better than virtually all "slammed" setups.

RE: Ph1 White GTi6 - Toms306 - 27-09-2015

Standard new will...

Standard 15 year old, not so much. lol

I can believe that, their service is awesome, but i popped one the first time the car went airborne lol. They repaired it free of charge, so can't complain on that front, but that doesn't change the fact it happened in the first place. I guess they're still a budget offering tbf.

RE: Ph1 White GTi6 - ozonehostile - 27-09-2015

I've never liked coilovers on a Peugeot tbh, don't suit their driving character imo. Bilstein and decent springs for me every time Smile

RE: Ph1 White GTi6 - Matt - 27-09-2015

Reminded me I need to do my arches. Realised today I have a little rust there Sad

I did like my d2's, my estate was on rails with them and 23mm rear TB's. I prefer my B8's and H&R 40mm's though..

if you have a white car, dont do them black...

This. Just remove the rust, repaint in white hammerite then clear underseal. looks so much fresher!

RE: Ph1 White GTi6 - Matt - 28-09-2015

They do a clear underseal?! Mind blown!

RE: Ph1 White GTi6 - Matt-Rallye - 28-09-2015

Yep! Clear waxoyl is the one you want Smile

RE: Ph1 White GTi6 - cully - 28-09-2015

Dont put stone chip Tetrosyl on top of hamerite
as it will react and strip the lot back to bare metal!!
BE WARNED IVE DONE IT

do a test sample first

RE: Ph1 White GTi6 - Matt-Rallye - 28-09-2015

Clear waxoyl and hammerite go together fine, All the rallying boys do it so the undersides look clean for scrutineering. Smile

RE: Ph1 White GTi6 - Matt - 06-10-2015

I bet standard 15 year old would handle better than the cheapest coilovers set to the absolute lowest ride height with no other bushes etc. changed.

RE: Ph1 White GTi6 - Dum-Dum - 08-10-2015

Can't believe that has coilover thread left.

Anyway I'll just leave this here.
