RE: JP's M3 - Midnightclub - 01-04-2015 Ooooh.. M5 Mmmmm.. RE: JP's M3 - jammapic - 01-04-2015 Sexy. Did you leave your ///m3 stock or mod it? RE: JP's M3 - lolsteve - 01-04-2015 Had a ride in this on the weekend, phwarrrr the throttle response is incredible, it's just instantaneous can really see the appeal now. Wasn't convinced before as other e46s Id been in seemed very lethargic (330i & 320d) the adjustable bolsters also made me a bit giddy haha RE: JP's M3 - Vpricey - 01-04-2015 I kept it mainly standard, eibach springs, angel eyes, depo front indicators, led rear lights ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() RE: JP's M3 - jammapic - 01-04-2015 Mine already has all those bit, bar the Eibach, being an 06 plate. I have however just ordered a set of Eibach Pro kit springs for it. They dont ruin it do they? Or do you have the lower Eibach Sport line springs? RE: JP's M3 - Vpricey - 01-04-2015 Yip the Eibach pro kit, they're great springs, really sharpen up the ride. ![]() RE: JP's M3 - jammapic - 01-04-2015 Make it crashy? Ruin it? RE: JP's M3 - Vpricey - 01-04-2015 Nope a big improvement, not crashy at all. The depo and angel eye lights are aftermarket kit. RE: JP's M3 - jammapic - 01-04-2015 Cool. Look forward to it! RE: JP's M3 - welshpug - 01-04-2015 Crashy is dampers, I've driven a 306 on KW's which was borderline, my ZX on AST's has KW springs and isn't crashy at all. JP's M3 - jammapic - 04-04-2015 Eibachs fitted today, ride just as well as the stock springs, bit subtly lower and the handling is much sharper! Also, full detailing session, including snow foaming, shampoo, 3m machine polish, zaino sealant and wax. ![]() ![]() RE: JP's M3 - aircool - 04-04-2015 Is the rear sub frame cracking a real threat like on the rest of the E46 range on the M3? Do many people strengthen it? RE: JP's M3 - jammapic - 04-04-2015 Yes, it is. Only pre 05 cars suffer, after that they ran strengthened rear diff hangers which stop it. I've had mine checked out at a BMW specialist, and also at BMW themselves. All good JP's M3 - jammapic - 12-05-2015 Have done much with this, other than drive it and enjoy it. Have changed the front fogs for tinted items, rear camber arms for adjustable items and polybushed the front end. Still have the rear to do, including diff hanger and subframe bushes as well as get some better brakes for it, thinking AP's but they ain't cheap! Looking likely there's an imminent 'ring trip on the cards so will hunt down a set of the povvo 18" M3 wheels and whack some stickies on it. Few piccies now it's been properly cleaned, sealed, waxed and the ride height has settled. ![]() ![]() RE: JP's M3 - jammapic - 02-11-2015 So fair few updates on this... First and foremost, ripped every single suspension component and all the running gear out, and replaced all the rubber bushes with poly versions from powerflex, fitted an uprated prop doughnut, some turner motorsport lower arms and some bilsteins to complement my Eibachs. ![]() and decided to get the paint refreshed: ![]() Then went to visit Wayne Schofield at Chip Wizards ![]() Where he managed to squeeze near 360hp and 285lbft! ![]() I then decided it was finally time to go and get it on the track... where it was bloody excellent! ![]() ![]() As good as the Michelin Pilot Super Sports I've got on the 19's are, I think it's time to get some 18's and some properly sticky tyres... and maybe some brakes! Roll on Nurburgring 2016! ![]() RE: JP's M3 - welshpug - 02-11-2015 cup 2's then ![]() RE: JP's M3 - Dum-Dum - 03-11-2015 Looking good, you bored with 360bph yet, there's some nice supercharger kits for these ![]() Oh and it's good to see your G1MP plate back on ![]() RE: JP's M3 - jammapic - 03-11-2015 The problem with supercharging dum is that they pop head gaskets for fun... Even in standard trim they do it. That said, I have been tempted... But I can't decide between that or just go with a proper exhaust, proper air box and map which should see about 400hp RE: JP's M3 - jammapic - 04-11-2015 Forgot to say.... Here's lolsteve! :-) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AYQ1N73voqw RE: JP's M3 - lolsteve - 04-11-2015 And a brief sighting of the m3 before i understeer off the track trying to keep up ![]() https://youtu.be/5HSb6sP4wig?t=1m54s Shame your camera didnt pick up the car noise more ![]() RE: JP's M3 - jammapic - 18-11-2015 Small update: Took my OEM 19's off to send away for fresh diamond cutting, and stuck on a set of CSLs... didn't think I was going to like the look - but it's growing on me!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Maybe next a CSL bootlid and CSL bumper? Who knows! ![]() RE: JP's M3 - Eeyore - 18-11-2015 I do like those wheels <3 RE: JP's M3 - jammapic - 19-12-2016 ![]() ![]() ![]() Now with some added big brakes.... Pretty well rounded now :-) RE: JP's M3 - Ben - 19-12-2016 Very nice. Have you used it much this year? RE: JP's M3 - jammapic - 20-12-2016 I've done about 10k in it, including a few track days, a Nurburgring trip (with about 15/20 maps) and a bunch of drives out / weekends away. Its a great tool, perfectly happy banging up and down the motorway in comfort, cruise on and AC ice cold, and then turn the driving aids off and tan it around a track. I've had 182mph out of it on the GPS in Germany, done an 8:26 round the ring, and driven it home again. JP RE: JP's M3 - Matt-Rallye - 20-12-2016 This an SMG or manual? Mate had an SMG one and it was pretty damn impressive. RE: JP's M3 - jammapic - 20-12-2016 (20-12-2016, 02:12 PM)Matt-Rallye Wrote: This an SMG or manual? Manual... don't want anyone else changing gear for me :-) Also, SMG are riddled with problems... shame because when fully lit they are pretty good!! RE: JP's M3 - Ben - 21-12-2016 Sounds good, it's getting a fair amount of use then! |
