Insurance write it off, you get money. Buy car back for pennies.
Get a second hand door, i have one you can use for the skin if you like. Knock out the quarter best you can, wipe of filler and paint!

So finally got a call today. It is being written off, not sure which category as forgot to ask.
However...
First they offered me £700 and I could buy it back for £21. I said this wasn't enough, rattled off all the mods and said I expected 900-1k. He called back 15 minutes later after looking about, said they can do £950 and £28.50 to buy back. Now I know it's been said in here to get them to fix etc but it's not likely to be £900 (I hope) so I'd be making money.
There is a bodyshop next to work so going to have a word with them tomorrow about it.

Anyone know how this effects my insurance? It's still driveable, have been using it since the accident and still have until the end of July on my policy, which I paid for in full at the start.
EDIT: So what I'm asking is; Will my insurance continue?

Sure your insurance will be fine. If it gets a cat c then u may have to get a vic check and re-mot and if you make a claim again it would be worth less.
If its a cat d, makes no ends really.

Your insurance should be fine, as there is no claim on your insurance, youre claiming off his insurance. Would double check with yours though
