it doesnt stop cars being uninsured at all. just allows fines to be sent out automatically to poor sods who forget to sorn it quick enough.
only have to watch a couple cop shows to know that every shadey car they pull over aint got insurance...but then they probably HAVE sorn'd it...thus not getting a fine.
just money making again.

Tbf the uninsured ones on the road, they've usually stolen so the fine will go to the real owner who is without their car and with a nice fine as well.... Brilliant idea as always for the gov't.
