Ed, that top vid ran this dyno, it's fair to say the car was pretty ill at that point. I've replaced all sorts of sensors etc etc:
The second video was with exhaust, induction kit, first mapping session done and the complete interior ripped out and my cage in.
I doubt it's much quicker than any other stripped '6 or rallye at the moment, as all it's got is some more revs, some cams and mapping. But what it does have is everything working 100% correctly.
I plan to dyno in the next few weeks.

Low boost? Haha have you ever seen a low boost pull? It is A LOT quicker than that. My 6 will happily pull like that. obviously not to 8k but it will still pull that well.
Oh and they are not KMH dials. The speedo on KMH ones looks vastly different.

Do people not realise that the KMH dials thing was a joke?

Errrrr....... Do you not realise it's a poor attempt at avoiding prosecution if the police take an interest in his videos?
And Lewis, that supercharged 6 is slooooow!

to be honest, i couldnt give a toss if you loose your licence through speeding but dont forget posting videos on this forum where you are blatantly speeding can make the forum look bad

Tidied up a bit.
Please can we be civil. If JP wants to speed/not speed up videos, if people want to argue about frame-rates, then please do it in PM
The only thing i'd like to point out; this is the internet and this forum is publicly accessible, so please be aware of this when posting video's, of yourself or not, performing potential illegal activities.
We as a club do not want any attention from the police because of any member.

Spammy spam spam.
Naill, I know what you mean about my actions not looking right but I 100% assure you nothing has been sped up! Have a go in it when we inevitably meet. I will give anyone the keys to my cars.

I wouldnt. Most of us dont have any car insurance and even if they do, its only third party cover. i wouldnt drive it because even if i scratched it, i wouldnt want to pay to repair it.
Saying that, i just wouldnt damage anyones car because i wouldnt have the money to repair it....especially when there is a frisbee involved!

James has the heavier front end of the GTi been noticeable compared with the DT?
05-03-2013, 02:37 AM
She handles just the same as his DT from what i noticed, so bloody well!
05-03-2013, 07:53 AM
Can't say I have noticed to be honest. The DT had a massive rad, oil cooler, intercooler etc hanging right over the nose though, this doesn't....

Right, well - everything is now 100% working :-) yey!!!
Also, fitted my much lighter wheels, sticky tyres and I have to say, it is so so so much better to drive in every way, so I'm selling the challengers if anyone wants them?
Also, had it on the laser alignment kit the other day, and set up the geometry as per the BTCC Peugeot 306's and it feels great... As well as that, finally fitted some black masks and it looks mean!
Can't wait to get some heat in these tyres now!

JP what's with the bonnet? Looks like its bent up by the wing? Doesn't sit flush.
That aside it's looking awesome think the wheels nee to be a darker colour though

Matt I think that's just the light, though it does look strange!
James what were the BTCC geometry specs? It'd be useful to know that kind of information
Cheers

Hmmm I don't know, it looks really odd where it runs next to the wing :/
