Pulled the pipe off my boost compensator to test boost and loads of oil came out is this normall Confused
Sounds like turbo shagged
Yes and no. Technically it shouldn't be there, it means the turbo oil seals are leaking, but I wouldn't worry. You get this on most turbos past 60-70k if not sooner, and it doesn't cause much of an issue. Put it this way, I had a DT that would boost 24psi easily on a K14 with no noises or issues, and that leaked so much oil it filled up the glass on my boost gauge!
Thanks there wasnt a huge amount but il keep an eye on it.
Might just buy new one this seems good enough excuse Smile
as laim says there will be some but keep a eye on it and if you notice blue smoke or lose of power then youve a problem, and yea never does any harm having few spares lying avout when you drive a d-turbo good excuse to buy a tdo4 Smile
your vacuum pipe always tends to drag a little through but aslong as its not like mine where you can pour a nice amount out of the intercooler it should be fine Smile
Thanks guys Smile
Will have to tell the mrs that the car needs a new turbo Smile
