I’m looking to purchase a a 1.9 td engine from a 306 and I’ve heard the immobiliser is individually coded To the fuel pump?

So I need to purchase an engine with the immobiliser module and key included?

Is this correct?

Thanks for any input  Blush
Ive never heard of that being the case but im sure someone will be along to confirm. Im fairly sure the pump is 100% mechanical and has no wires.
Depends which pump - later Lucas pumps, that is the case, they have an immobiliser unit underneath a large metal cover, however you can cut the metal casing off the pump and expose the stop solenoid and apply power straight to the solenoid and the engine will run fine. The engines which use Bosch VE pumps simply have a large metal guard over the stop solenoid which can be cut off.
