On my current 2.1 engine the rev counter is taken from the standard place on back of the block. However on the new bottom end i have built there is no holes to fit in the same place (currently has a larger flywheel with lugs on it where rev is taken from the top of gearbox)

How can i fit the sensor to allow rev clock to work using standard clock?
You have to use a xud 9 flywheel on it and drill the hole. They dont come standard in that place to get the rev counter to work. I think yours was dum dums old one wasnt it? I think its a 15mm hole from memory

15mm hole be too big. Dumdum covers it in his guide. My project thread also shows pics ThumbsUp
Cheers ye dumdums old one I have sorted it now Big Grin well almost just need to set sensor gap when its running
sensor gap is easy to sort, push it until it touches the flywheel then back it off very very slightly. basically you want it as close as possible without damaging the sensor. its how i set all of mine and never had an issue with one as of yet
