Hello,

This is my first post on this forum!

I just swapped my fuel pump over (bosch) beacuse it was leaking veg oil.
I wanted to have the same governer assembly as the last one so I swapped it over I didn't realize that the pump had a spline which had to be lined up ccorrectly...

how can I reset this back to where it should be?

Thanks! ?
This is what I mean the 10mm lock nut is holding it onto the splines [Image: ac62443dc40282115588559ae3268a2a.jpg]

Turn the shaft anticlockwise until it feels like to comes to a natural stop.
Fit the throttle arm in the idle position ThumbsUp
Loosen the nut, put a screwdriver in the top, set where required and nip the nut back up, does that make sense? Smile
Okay thanks everyone. Got that sorted!

Still not running right though.. when I put my foot down there is no power then suddenly at around 2.5k rpm it kicks in. Yes I know it's a turbo and that is normal but it literally has no power until then.

Also since I have fitted this pump my boost guage reads 20psi. And the engine seems to run very hot. Any advice?

Even in the low revs the turbo spins up and creates a considerable amount of boost

I must add that this sounds like it is producing a lot of diesel knock!

Ok...need to retard the pump a little if too much knock.
Also sounds like the lda pin is sticking or not dropping.

Is it coaling a lot before 2500rpm?
Sorry to sound stupid but I have no idea what coaling means!

I thought that about the pump timing.

Could the lda pin sticking be caused by oil getting into the diaphragm bit?

Smoking about the exhaust when you accelerate at wide open throttle from low rpm?
Coaling means blowing loads of black smoke out of the back.
I wouldn't think oil would cuase a sticky LDA,  unless you run veg oil.

Doh! Beat me to it. Rofl
Yes just cleaned it all out put back in and problem solved! Thanks for your help! [SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH]
