306oc - Peugeot 306 Owners Club & Forum

Hello guys,

Myself & me brother fitted a replacement engine into his 306 yesterday with a shitty dhy we got on the cheap.

Lucas pump & k03 Turbo.

Engine running like a bag of spanners.

Sometimes when you rev the engine from idle the revs stick & get higher even when the throttle is let go again. Almost like the engine wants to run away. When the engine revs there is also a loud clonking/knocking from the engine.

Anybody any ideas? Not familiar with Lucas pumps so if anybody has any ideas they would be appreciated.

Did you turn the pump up? Is it in the middle in the static advance slots?

Hi. Pump was already well turned, it is indeed, the engine ran before in the last car it was in

Sounds like pump is turned up too much tbh,
